Hochiminh, 01/01/2019 – January of 2019 marks the successful cooperation for the first three years of the 15-year strategic partnership between Prudential Vietnam Assurance Private Ltd (Prudential) and Vietnam International Bank (VIB). Providing comprehensive financial protection and wealth management solutions to customers over the last three years, the bancassurance business of Prudential and VIB is experiencing strong growth momentum.  With VIB’s customer-centric principle and Prudential’s philosophy “Always Listening. Always Understanding”, these two leading brands in Vietnam’s banking and life insurance industries will continue to enhance their partnership by offering comprehensive solutions with maximized convenience and satisfaction to customers.

Under the country’s first bancassurance partnership with a contract term of 15 years, the two partners have been assisting tens of thousands of VIB customers over the last three years to actively plan for their future and help them meet their long-term financial goals.

Over the last three years, the Prudential-VIB bancassurance business has continued to experience strong growth momentum. The number of new policies of 2018 increased more than 200% in comparison with the whole year 2017, and 260% against 2016. Prudential’s Pru-Flex Investment, a solution which offers both financial protection and a flexible selection of investment funds for customers to increase their asset accumulation, has been particularly well received, with tens of thousands of policies applied for within the first 10 months of 2018.

Not only do VIB customers have access to Prudential’s products, their experience at every touch point with Prudential has been enhanced by digital applications, from product inquiry and application to premium payment and insurance claims. According that, Prudential has empowered the customers by giving them digital tools and solutions to manage their insurance portfolio with ease. For example, PRU-bot solution supports customers in addressing their queries on their life insurance plans, while Matchbook allows customers to make an appointment with a Prudential financial expert they can select via their online profiles. PRUonline and the PRUonline mobile app assist customers to manage their insurance policies, include looking up, changing and updating relevant information. Zalo Claims allows customers to make an insurance claim via their familiar “over-the-top” application. With these tools and solutions, the customers are able to communicate actively and effectively with Prudential on all their insurance needs on a daily basis.

The first three years of companionship has marked Prudential-VIB as an effective and fast-growing bancassurance partnership.  Looking ahead, Prudential and VIB, will continue to work closely together in marketing and sales, as well as in enhancing customer experience and service quality, in order to serve the changing needs of their customers and help secure their future.
